Responsibilities Will Include:
The Market Manager is responsible for developing this global OEM’s North American market to the Tier 1 and Tier 2 carriers, especially focused in fiber optic products. By offering remote radio head solutions involving fiber-to-the-radio head, the market manager will lead the strategic and customer level business development including products, target accounts, marketing, and sales channels.
The market manager will be the technical and commercial interface to the North America wireless carrier customers while strengthening the company’s overall position as a solution provider in hardware communications technology. As the fiber expert for the company, the manager will be the primary technical interface for all customers, outside sales and support functions as well as the conduit for design and technical information. The manager will visit the key carriers including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and others who are expanding their requirements for fiber to transmit signals to the radio head and then onward to the antenna.
Responsibility will include managing customer projects on a technical and commercial basis within this client’s internal network and getting involved with new designs with customers in early supplier relationships.
Key target responsibilities include:
* Identify fiber opportunities with North American operators, develop business cases, and successfully transfer customer projects into orders.
* Develop and foster strategic supply partnerships with international operators and OEMs, and competitive positioning products.
* Develop and support local sales channels, identify local market players and market drivers, develop sales channels and alliances with local operators and installers.
* Support and strengthen the fiber market and product knowledge throughout the company including sales and application engineering by trainings, work-shops, and road-shows.
Requirements:
Key elements desired in a career track will include:
* Success in identifying future customer and market needs and validating them in conversations with industry leaders.
* Five to ten years of proven market development experience in an established, high-growth company characterized by strong customer satisfaction values.
* Significant track record of accomplishments in technology-related markets, such as: instrumentation, medical, electronics, sensors, energy, automation, and defense.
* Demonstrated ability to build and nurture executive management relationships and work effectively with other company business units, both regionally and globally.
* Ability to travel extensively.
Required background: technical sales; familiarity with the North American fiber industry standards and regulations; technical degree.
