Responsibilities Will Include:

As the Program Manager in this newly created position for one of our client’s prime business sectors – the Department of Defense - you will manage, establish and nurture strategic relationships within targeted defense contractors ensuring proper delivery of captured business. In turn, you will further ensure the company's success, by providing input on product requirements, pricing, and marketing programs as they relate to customer needs.

With your successful history of program management experience to and intimate knowledge of the DoD’s programs and business development processes, your responsibilities in this position will include working with the sales team, marketing and business development activities for targeted accounts as well as being accountable for managing cost, schedules and technical execution as required.

Reporting to the Director of our client’s DoD sales efforts you will be accountable for:
+ Leading short- & long-term business objectives within assigned accounts-
+ Planning, coordinating & managing the actions taken by the organization to acquire and execute business-
+ Managing the implementation of specific government/customer contracts-
--- including planning, organizing, directing and tracking all aspects of assigned programs including technology, schedule, cost, contract compliance, and customer satisfaction.
--- Interfacing with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel as the primary project interface with senior management as required.
--- Offer expertise and support for USG contracts and federal government acquisition processes

Requirements:

Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher (a technical degree is preferred - a business degree with technical product knowledge will be considered)
• Product knowledge of wireless electronics and components.
• Business development and/or marketing experience.
• Intimate knowledge of program management fundamentals and implementation.
• Proven ability with government procurement process.
• Top quality communication skills.
• History of OEM/Systems Integrator account management.
• Proven success (6 years minimum experience) of major program responsibilities.
• In depth understanding of DoD and OEM contracting/purchasing procedures (i.e. buying cycles, key program milestones, procurement methods, contracting and organizational infrastructure.)

US Passport
US Secret Clearance (or the ability to obtain)


Desirable:
• DAWIA or PMP certification.
• Working knowledge of and demonstrated success in Unmanned Aerial Aircraft (UAV) market segment.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 25%.
• Ability to work independently, self motivating and self starter


Location: Within an hour drive (north) of Boston

Compensation: first year target base and bonus to 150,000

Relocation: prefer local candidate but willing to consider relocation package for top candidate
