This well-established, well- respected company wishes to enhance and expand their product solutions with the addition of talent to their diverse R&D team; an engineer who will support the focus on our client's solutions, a seamless integration of legacy products with new, achieving true interconnectedness.

Responsibilities Will Include:

In order to always be the leader in innovative products offering maximum reliability at lower than the competition installation cost, this company supports its engineering development with state of the art CAD/CAM and modeling programs allowing engineering designs to make it to the customer quicker and more cost effectively. Through its advanced analytical modeling and prototyping capabilities, and its half dozens manufacturing plants around the global, this company is able to not only set the standards in its copper based products but continue to stay at the cutting edge of applications requiring new electronic circuitry and materials.

Providing a more competitive edge to the companyˇ¦s product mix by conducting specific research and product development in Ethernet connectivity and cabling products, this R&D engineer will work with design teams within the company to lead efforts from concepts through the proof of principle. Specific understanding of the fundamental nature of both electromagnetism and circuit theory is highly desired as this engineer will be the guiding force through electromagnetic issues the R&D team faces as they improve their product offerings.

Responsibilities will include: new product definition, new product development, technical product roadmaps, executing next generation products, applied research, competitive analysis, patent product development, taking part in industry design standards.

Requirements:

For an experience background, we prefer
« A candidate with an MSEE or better degree,
« Direct experience in signal integrity /electromagnetic theory,
« First-hand knowledge of compliance testing and standards for EMC, EMI, RFI,
« Five+ years work experience,
« Ability to work/relocate to the Chicago- land area,
« Added experience in transmission line theory, electro-magnetic measurement, analysis and simulation, and a hands-on history related to multiple product development will create a top talent candidate.
« Compensation expectation DOE - target 100,000 to 140,000

Technology:

RF, electro-magnetics, circuit theory, copper, cables, connectors, ethernet, LAN systems, High Data Rate, EMF, EMC, EMI, RFI, NPI, RCL, passive research and development, analog

Education:

MSEE or PhD EE
